Job brief: As a Field Service Engineer/Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation and maintenance of our equipment at client sites.
You will be responsible for traveling to various locations, sometimes with very short notice, to perform installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
This position requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Summary of Key Responsibilities: Travel to client sites to install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment.
Troubleshoot technical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Follow technical specifications, diagrams, and instructions to complete installations and repairs efficiently and accurately.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
Provide training and technical support to clients and onsite personnel as needed.
Document all service activities, including maintenance reports, service tickets, and equipment logs.
Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards at all times.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features, upgrades, and industry developments.
Manage inventory levels and submit order replacement parts as needed.
Develop and foster positive relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professional communication.
Follow all company’s field procedures and protocols.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in a technical field service role, preferably in the retail or vending industry.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to travel extensively, sometimes with short notice, and work non-traditional hours as needed.
Must be able to work independently and make sound fiscal decisions regarding parts procurement, travel arrangements and other necessary business impacts Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
English literacy is required.
Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours as needed.
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must have reliable vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed at current government rate) Certifications or specialized training in relevant technologies or equipment (e.
g.
, Refrigeration, robotics, automation) Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
