Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team.
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with proficiency in industry software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
Responsibilities: - Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates - Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes - Price and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors - Utilize construction estimating software, such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid, to create detailed estimates - Prepare bid packages and submit proposals to clients - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and implement cost control measures as needed - Build relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other industry professionals to ensure competitive pricing and availability of resources - Provide support to project teams by reviewing change orders, conducting value engineering exercises, and assisting with cost-related decisions Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred - Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry - Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques - Proficiency in industry software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid - Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers and subcontractors - Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and other technical documents - Strong analytical skills to accurately estimate project costs - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy - Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders Join our team as an Estimator and contribute to the success of our construction projects.
