Responsibilities: Design and engineer PV systems for commercial, and utility-scale projects using PVSyst software.
Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine the suitability of locations for PV installations.
Perform electrical load calculations, system sizing, and energy production estimations to meet project requirements and local regulations.
Create detailed electrical designs, including system layouts, single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and interconnection plans.
Collaborate with Atwell program teams as well as cross-functional teams, including project managers, construction teams, and clients, to ensure effective project delivery.
Provide technical expertise and support during project development, construction, and commissioning phases.
Perform electrical modeling and simulations using PVSyst software to optimize system performance, assess energy yield, and predict system behavior under different conditions.
Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting of existing PV systems to identify and resolve electrical issues.
Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to PV system design, electrical codes, and standards.
Participate in project meetings, present technical information to stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with procurement teams to select appropriate electrical components, equipment, and materials for PV installations.
Ensure compliance with Atwell Standards and relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations throughout the design and implementation process.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) in PV system design, including experience with PVSyst software.
In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, PV technology, and system design best practices.
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, IEC) for PV system design and electrical safety.
Proficiency in using PVSyst software for system modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and analyze data to optimize system design and performance.
Experience with AutoCAD or similar software for electrical design and layout.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills.
Compensation: A base salary is expected to be between $130,000-$180,000 depending on skills, experience, and education amongst other factors.
