*POSITION SUMMARY:*
Xerxes seeks a skilled, team-oriented Stormwater Engineer to facilitate Xerxes’ growth in the stormwater infrastructure market.
Xerxes HydroChain is a portfolio of products used in the land development sector to effectively manage stormwater runoff.
The successful candidate will be instrumental to supporting product applications for a broad spectrum of stakeholders including design engineers, customers, and Xerxes’ sales team.
This position will be responsible for optimizing customer stormwater plans, product engineering support, development of product literature, and technical documents.
The candidate must have expertise in designing stormwater management systems, including hydrology, detention, and hydraulics.
In addition, familiarity with navigating local and state regulations and permitting processes is necessary to support our customers.
The position requires a hands-on approach to collaborating with public agencies, consultant engineers, manufacturer representatives, and contractors.
Proficiency in interpreting stormwater reports and construction plans will be crucial to work alongside Xerxes Sales Team to interpret stormwater system layouts and project requirements.
Collaboration with the Stormwater Engineering Team will also be key to assist product development and internal processes.
The candidate will demonstrate commitment to problem-solving, effective communication, teamwork, and an inherent ability to manage risks strategically.
It is preferential for this position to be based in the Minneapolis area to facilitate occasional meetings with the engineering team, however accommodation for other locations will be considered.
Flexible home/office hybrid work environment is typical.
*DUTIES:* • Develop technical documentation for HydroChain products.
• Advise on stormwater system design, focusing on layout, constructability, and hydraulics.
• Support the Sales Team in determining system layouts and regulatory requirements, adhering to industry standards.
• Support the Sales Team by reviewing and interpreting local and state regulations, and recommending product solutions.
• Provide insights on construction methods, specifications, and the interpretation of plans and details.
• Collaborate with public agencies, consultant engineers, manufacturer representatives, and contractors to facilitate project execution.
• Employ problem-solving skills, effective communication, teamwork, and risk management in daily tasks.
• Work in a sales and engineering environment.
• Deliver a value proposition with technical sales acumen, and coordinate with sales engineers to drive revenue growth.
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve project obstacles or roadblocks.
• Establish technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.
• Assist in the evaluation for product development.
