We are currently seeking an Inspector for Kansas City, Missouri for the 2nd shift 3:30 pm to 12:00am on a large construction renovation project.
Responsibilities: The Inspector is an entry level position with the responsibility of performing a variety of technical engineering support tasks.
The specific duties include learning inspecting construction and maintenance projects and additional duties including, Become familiar with plans, specifications, standards, and related material.
Perform construction activities indoors and outdoors, walking on uneven terrain and during all types of weather.
Perform daily assigned inspection and reports and other tasks in a training capacity preparatory to assuming the duties of an inspector.
Inspects excavations, drainage structures, road surfaces, and structures to compare the work performed to plans and specifications, conferring frequently with higher level inspectors or engineering personnel to clarify or interpret details.
Requirements: The Inspector qualifications for this role include: 2+ years of construction experience.
Must be able to pass GSA background investigation (HSPD12).
A high school diploma or GED.
A motor vehicle operator's license, valid in the State of Missouri.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
Must be proficient in basic computer software.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must be able and willing to work in either day or night shifts – this position is for the 2nd shift 3:30 pm to 12:00am.
Ability to physically perform essential duties such as walking, standing, bending, and lifting loads weighing up to 80 lbs.
