*Summary:*
The AC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
They must possess a strong understanding of HVAC systems and demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
*Responsibilities:*
* *Installation:* Install new air conditioning systems according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
This includes setting up ductwork, electrical connections, and refrigerant lines.
* *Maintenance:* Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical components to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of AC systems.
* *Repair:* Diagnose and repair malfunctions in air conditioning systems, including faulty compressors, motors, and thermostats.
Replace worn or damaged parts as necessary.
* *Troubleshooting:* Identify and resolve technical issues with HVAC systems by performing thorough diagnostic tests and utilizing problem-solving skills to implement effective solutions.
* *Customer Service:* Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Provide clear explanations of services rendered, answer any questions or concerns, and offer recommendations for improving system efficiency.
* *Documentation:* Maintain accurate records of all service calls, including work performed, parts used, and any additional recommendations for future maintenance or repairs.
* *Safety Compliance:* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical systems, refrigerants, and other potentially hazardous materials.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals.
