Yokogawa is currently searching for a Resident Engineer to be stationed at the client plant near Reno, Nevada JOB SUMMARY Responsible for supporting and maintaining Yokogawa’s WEBFREX3ES dedicated coat weight measurement system or referred to as Web Gauge.
This is an early career Resident Engineer position stationed at the client plant.
The Engineer will perform duties ensuring all related tasks and work are completed to the satisfaction of Yokogawa management and the management of the client.
DUTIES/RESULTS Routine System health check – all operational systems.
Regular status reports with ability to view for trends.
Immediate first response for troubleshooting.
Rapid escalation to Yokogawa Global Response Center when needed.
Manage spare parts, report use, and prompt for reorder as needed.
Perform limited maintenance activities whenever production stops.
Maintain good relationship with all business owners.
Lead scheduled maintenance activities.
Fully understand major downtime events related to WEBFREX3ES and have an action plan to resolve.
Log and diagnose all alarms and execute plan to reduce amount of alarms.
Establish baseline history for each gauge, (RT hours, alarm history, previous maintenance activities.
Be available for after-hours emergency support when requested by the customer, based on the contract.
Radiation Related activities for the Sensors.
Responsible for Radiation Audits as well as working around Radiation Equipment on a daily basis.
Able to reach electrical schematics as well as be able to troubleshoot electronics as part of their duties.
Other duties as assigned.

Requires thorough and increasing product knowledge of all assigned products.
Must be responsible, professional, mature, well organized, able to work with limited supervision and adaptable to stress working conditions to maintain or exceed customer expectations and uphold YCA’s reputation for high integrity and industry leadership.
Qualification: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor along with a service attitude.
Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
Must be able to lift upto 60 lbs.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer specifications and technical data associated with the assigned line of products.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from the customers.
Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups.
Must be able to represent technical content and troubleshooting results in clear and concise English.
Must be able to understand customer requirements and provide feedback in technical terminology.
Other duties as assigned related to Yokogawa products.
Education & Training: BS in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering with Machinery repair experience or related fields.
It is preferred to have experience as Radiation Safety Officer.
If needed Yokogawa can arrange training for RSO.
Prior Experience: Prior knowledge of Yokogawa products is a plus.
Prior work experience in the Lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant or related work experience is a plus but not required.
Travel: Occasional travel required, 10-25% We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
