Position Description The Brand Finance Manager will be a key member of our finance team, responsible for overseeing the financial management and strategic development of our product portfolio.
This individual will play a critical role in driving profitability, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting growth initiatives through insightful financial analysis and strategic guidance.
Responsibilities Strategic Planning and Decision Support Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to Marketing and Sales teams to support long-term planning and decision-making.
Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess potential impacts of strategic initiatives, market changes, and external factors on brand financial performance.
Participate in strategic planning sessions, contributing financial expertise and insights to cross-functional teams.
Brand Management: Monitor and analyze brand performance against financial targets and KPIs, identifying variances and trends to inform strategic adjustments.
Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support Marketing, including innovation, product mix, channel strategy, and pricing strategies.
Support sales forecasting and pipeline management processes, providing guidance on revenue recognition and deal structures.
Lead ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects to support strategic initiatives and business growth opportunities.
Financial Planning and Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis of product and customer performance, including revenue, profitability, and cost trends, to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Lead the development of product level financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, incorporating strategic objectives and market dynamics.
Provide financial guidance and recommendations to marketing and sales team to support decision-making and achieve financial targets.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Operations to ensure alignment between sales strategies and overall business goals.
Communicate complex financial concepts and insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders, guiding them through the rationale behind the models and outcomes.
Minimum years of experience required Minimum of 7 years of finance experience, preferably within consumer-packaged goods industry.
Required Skills, Abilities and Qualifications Experience working collaboratively with Marketing and Sales.
Understanding of pricing strategies and trade management.
Experience using and interpreting Nielsen or IRI consumption data.
Knowledge of full value chain with particular emphasis on manufacturing/production processes, supply chain dynamics, and operational considerations.
Advanced Excel skills required.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of brand management principles, marketing concepts, and consumer behavior.
Preferred Skills, Abilities and Qualifications Knowledge of Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) or greenhouse operations.
