Patrick Engineering, a RINA company, is seeking a Team Leader to join our growing bridge inspection practice.
Primary Responsibilities Leads in-depth inspections using mechanized access equipment, modified technical climbing/rope access techniques, and/or non-destructive testing methods.
Serves as Lead on a variety of bridge and structure inspection projects including complex, fracture critical and routine bridge inspections, tunnel inspections, culvert inspections, and facilities inspections.
Prepares written bridge inspection reports to document observed conditions Participate in business development activities, including but not limited to, preparation of letters of interest, qualifications statements, proposals, and project interview materials.
Mentors and trains less experienced staff providing guidance and general instruction, assigning, and reviewing work.
Trains staff in the most efficient methods of accomplishing tasks.
Provides input to the Bridge Inspection Practice Leader on staffing decisions and performance management.
Professional Requirements Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education.
5+ years of progressive experience in bridge inspection, evaluation, and rehabilitation NHI Course 130055 or 130056 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges NHI Course 130078 Fracture Critical Bridge Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges, preferred.
Strong bridge technical experience with ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
PE license or ability to obtain PE license by comity within 6 months strongly preferred.
Excellent written/oral communication skills Additional Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Able to navigate various uneven surfaces.
Travel up to 20% (i.
