- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize construction management and project management principles to develop comprehensive estimates
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Build relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and implement cost control measures as needed
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and present them to clients

- Proven experience in construction estimating
- Proficiency in using software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
