*Our ideal candidate:*
* 5-10 years experience in mechanical systems design and manufacturing
* Your education is preferably a MSC or PHD in either Mechanical or chemical engineering.
* You have extension experience with mechanical and chemical process design and electro-mechanical systems integration.
* You are familiar with the design of 3D equipment models, assemblies, 2D parts & assemblies, process flow and instrumentation diagrams and electrical schematics.
* You are trained and have practical experience with Solid Edge, AutoCAD, and ANSI or other ASME software.
CFD experience is a plus.
You have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
* You have practical experience sizing, designing, testing, and integrating electromechanical systems.
You possess the ability to communicate effectively and work independently as well as strive in team environment.
Your organizational skills relating to task management are exceptional.
* You have the ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and designing gas generating, compression, purification, storage, fuel cell processes, and assemblies required by the department.
* Your designs will meet ISA, ANSI, and general North American Industry practice.
You also will take charge of the project design documentation, organization and upkeep and drawing filing for projects & components.
* You will be responsible for the checking of drawings prior to issue and for communication with the relevant clients and suppliers.
You will communicate technical details effectively with management, project leaders, engineers production team members, suppliers and customers.
* You must plan for task execution, prepare initial designs, and contribute to estimation of manpower and volume of work.
As well, liaising with other Ionada’s members on design adaptations and changes and recommending and implementing design adaptations and changes, fall under your scope.
Additionally, you will be involved with component sourcing, acquisition, and testing.
