Preconstruction Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Preconstruction Manager to join our dynamic Pre-Construction team at Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and a proven track record in the field.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the complete process of developing competitive construction price proposals, from initial customer RFP reception to project award.
This is a remote position based in San Antonio, TX, with occasional travel requirements of up to 20%.

Compensation: $95,000 - $140,000 yearly Responsibilities: Lead discussions with senior management to determine bid viability.
Analyze RFP scope and align it with the capture strategy and potential risks.
Evaluate and present risk assessments to senior management.
Assist in drafting and reviewing technical proposals.
Maintain a database of subcontractor contacts for future proposals.
Create bid scopes for trade packages and ensure subcontractor compliance.
Identify and select subcontractors for price proposals.
Manage material/supply long lead items.
Ensure the accuracy of pricing model data.
Coordinate customer RFIs and distribute responses to subcontractors.
Analyze subcontract bid proposals to ensure project scope coverage.
Collaborate with teaming partners to develop project concepts.
Assess project risks and address cost exposures in price proposals.
Facilitate the smooth transition of awarded projects to field operation staff.
Assist field operations staff with project buyout post-award.
Effectively communicate the price proposal development process to senior management.
Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing design-build and design-bid-build projects, preferably with federal agencies.
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred.
Strong proficiency in interpreting project design drawings, specifications, and building code requirements.
Skilled in analyzing customer RFP requirements to ensure full compliance with RFP documents.
Capable of dissecting customer RFP packages to obtain pricing at the trade level.
Willingness to travel for pre-bid site walk-throughs, including overnight trips when necessary.
Ability to create competitive price proposals for multiple projects simultaneously, with experience in handling 4 to 6 proposals at different stages of development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in computer software applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.
), with experience in ProEst or similar software preferred.
Profound understanding of estimating software and the ability to develop concept schedules from RFP documents.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently.
At least 5 years of experience in estimating multi-trade construction projects ranging from $2M to $30M.
Must be a US Citizen or eligible to work in the US.
Physical ability to climb stairs/ladders and hold an unrestricted driver’s license.
Willingness to undergo background checks for security clearance and base access.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and provide acceptable references and background check results.
