We stand by partnership, teamwork, integrity, and innovation to make great things happen! Summary/Objective - The Project Manager is fully responsible for all aspects of their project portfolio including but not limited to implementation, safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resources.
Emphasis will be on safety, client satisfaction, quality performance of services, and financial performance aligned with the company’s business plan.
- Key measures of success include delivery of projects within assigned portfolio in accordance with agreed upon plan; client satisfaction/feedback; achievement of project quality objectives, and development of high-performing project teams.
Essential Functions Key functions fulfilled by the Project Manager: - Deliver profitable, high-quality, repeatable results while supporting customer centric growth.
- Drive project execution to perform work within scope, on an agreed schedule, within budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with the sales organization to act as a partner to Sparus’ customers through developing a deep understanding of their challenges and objectives, including how the customer’s sponsor and manager of the work are measured.
Execute operations based on this knowledge to deliver win/win relationship-enhancing solutions.
- Drive accountability throughout the project portfolio to execute on commitments, act with integrity, have a strong safety culture, achieve top tier quality, be viewed as a partner by customers, and enhance employee engagement and productivity.
This includes creating processes to ensure that the projects are utilizing their resources in a cost-efficient and high-quality manner.
- Implement standard project management practices, including but not limited to meeting minutes, action item tracking, development of a schedule, schedule analysis, issue/risk tracking and resolution, prioritization and tracking of project information.
The PM will utilize the project schedule to track the activities in the field and forecast their completion.
- Provide regular reporting to Leadership on progress against objectives on key internal projects and initiatives.
Partner with Safety and Field management to ensure project safety process compliance and validation of contractual safety expectations and work practices are being followed.
- Partner with Human Resources and Training teams to identify and attract talent and create a positive work culture that promotes from within, has high employee morale, and has low employee turnover.

- Drives project leadership to ensure work is performed in accordance with agreed-upon scope, on an agreed schedule, within budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Participates actively in the recruitment and retention of project staff as needed to support the Sparus organization.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and development of project staff.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time salaried position.
Hours will vary based on priorities and volume of projects and initiatives.
Travel This is a hybrid/remote position, with preference given to candidates within the Atlanta Metro area and/or ability to spend time as needed in Sparus headquarters in Peachtree Corners, Georgia.
Some degree of travel is required but is not expected to exceed 10%-20% once the project manager has gained a working understanding of the portfolio.
Travel includes meeting with existing and potential clients, project teams, and participating in industry events.
Required Education and Experience - Minimum 5 years of project management experience in engineering, construction, or field services environment.
Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, business, or equivalent discipline preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Experience in the management and development of staff Physical Demands - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
