Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises (OTIE) delivers full-service facility and infrastructure engineering design, environmental science, construction management, and munitions response services worldwide, with over 34 years of successful project performance.
OTIE has an immediate opening for a Lead Construction Inspector based in Misawa, Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that all projects assigned are delivered on-time, within scope, within budget, and without safety incidents.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan/schedule to monitor and track progress
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Single POC for client: Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
Use and continually develop leadership skills
Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
American Citizen
Bachelors degree related to engineering, architecture, or construction is required.
Minimum of 5 years as a DOD Construction Inspector.
OSHA 30 Safety Training Certificate
USACE Approved QC Training Certificate
Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time within budget
Must be able to communicate effectively with various government entities (our clientele)
Able to pass background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a foreign country leading or managing foreign country nationals
Prior experience working as a federal contractor in the engineering or construction industry or working with federal agencies as a client on engineering or construction projects.
Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time within budget
Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and lead project to completion
Military experience helpful
Compensation Range:
Negotiable $80,000 – $100,000 plus negotiated allowances for Cost of Living
