Construction-Working Superintendent (Pay range $75,000- $85,000/yr) AND eligible for direct OT for work over 40 billable hours
100% in Field out of town overnight (Combo of long term (1-6 month) projects and short term (1-4 days))
(Mix will vary depending on current workload)
This is a working position that will be running $500k-$2M civil construction projects around the country.
This position will report to a Project Manager or Sr Project Manager.
Work will include:
Ensure compliance with project technical specifications
Safety- of direct reports and sub-contractors
Ensure compliance with compliance specifications of projects
Coordinate Apex staff, vendors and sub-contractors
Ensure project schedule is maintained
Project communications- within team, vendors and clients; ability to create work status reports in Adobe or Word document formats
Production- directly ensure that daily production is maintained as well as key milestones
On Site Project Management- Site visits or inspections as directed by PM, to verify the project is being executed per the schedule and plan; identify conflicts and offer remedial solutions; Oversight of vendors needing supervision or receiving of jobsite materials; and pickup or delivery of jobsite materials
Operate construction equipment- excavators, rollers, skids loaders etc.
What we're looking for:
Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of operator, crew lead or Supt experience; or a degree in Construction Management or similar field; proficient in MS Office; Self Starter who can work independently; detail oriented; writing ability that allows concise narration of project activities completed or upcoming; staffing and material management.
This is a “working” position; Hands on- willingness to learn new skills and experiences; OSHA 40 and confined space training desired.
Current driver's license, good driving record, and drug testing is mandatory.
Salary commensurate with experience.
