If you want to make an impact on the planet, here’s your opportunity: Control Systems Engineer With construction of two new full-scale RNG plants underway, and with several more projects in the queue, Divert is in the middle of explosive growth.
Divert needs to continue to expand our Controls Team by adding a Control Systems Engineer to assist in the design, build, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our company control systems.
Reporting to the Director of Controls Engineering, the Control Systems Engineer will play a key role in building control systems that have a meaningful and lasting impact on the success of our processing facilities.
Moderate overnight travel (~25%), within the US, will be required to support facilities and projects.
Responsibilities: Work with the Process & Controls team to design, develop, and deploy control systems for new processing facilities Improve, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC/HMI/SCADA/etc systems for existing infrastructure Improve and expand the company wide, centralized, SCADA system Identifying, scoping, and developing improvement projects for existing systems.
Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to understand and integrate their subsystems into the facility PLC and SCADA systems Build and maintain onsite SQL databases for storing process data Work with vendors on control panel and field wiring design, testing, and installation Travel to new facilities for commissioning and start-up Work closely with the IT team to monitor and improve network security and to keep SCADA/database servers up to date Swiftly respond to stakeholder requests, both internal and external, and deploy new design iterations as required Create and maintain documentation (manuals, change logs, etc) Help build and reinforce the Divert brand with systems that allow us to quickly respond to customer needs Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar from an accredited program 3-5 years of experience in building and/or maintaining industrial control systems Competency with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000 Logix Designer, and PLC ladder logic Proficiency with working on HMI/SCADA applications Competence with low voltage wiring and troubleshooting Strong attention to detail, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities, and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential Ability to present products and conclusions in a clear and compelling manner Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams What will set you apart: Experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation Experience working with additional PLC brands (Opto 22, Phoenix Contact, etc) Familiarity with SQL, Python, Java, and/or CSS Advanced electrical design and troubleshooting experience Competency with cloud based architectures - AWS and GCP being our preferred platforms The ideal candidate.
