As an _*Engineering Sales Support (Packaging Specialist)*_ you will work in close collaboration with the sales team, providing technical support as well as product education.
This is a full-time role with a specific focus on shrink film and related equipment, including semi- and fully-automatic L-bar sealers, poly bundlers, and other end-of-line packaging solutions.
You will be interacting with customers to understand their needs, as well as supporting the regional sales managers with training, sales tools, product trials, and other sales-related activities.
You will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and customer service to develop strategies for driving revenue growth and enhancing customer support.
*What You'll Do*
* Provide technical support to the Company’s sales organization and assist in developing solutions and design briefs in response to sales opportunities
* When required, accompany Regional Sales Managers on-site visits, audits, and discussions to understand customer needs
* Provide technical support, including product selection as well as technical advice, and scoping for marketing and training material, as well as success stories
* Participate in and engage in formulating technical concept solutions
* Collaborate with the marketing and design team to have materials prepared in a timely and accurate manner for customers, trade shows, product launches, etc.
* Design innovative solutions to satisfy customer requirements
* Create proposals, quotes, and assist with purchase orders
* Train, educate, and mentor the sales team, distributor network, and relevant members within the organization
* Provide recommendations on the development of new products as well as optimization of existing products to improve performance, quality, or cost competitiveness
* Drive the business to reach pre-established sales goals
*What You Need*
* 5-10 years of relevant work experience
* Ability to travel up to 50%
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
* Superior knowledge of shrink film, related equipment, and the packaging industry
* Excellent written and oral communication
* Proven knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry trends
* Experience in reporting on key production metrics
* Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* Reside in the Eastern United States, with convenient driving and airport access
