About the Role:
The Director of Operations – Supply Chain Transformation (SCT) will be a key member of a multi-functional team charged with identifying opportunities that accelerate the transformation of Treehouse’s Supply Chain including but not limited to Automation, plant optimizations and rate improvements.
Their goal is to improve productivity by over 25 percent in the next 3 years.
The Director of Operations - SCT will be expected to provide leadership and insights within the operational space and in particular, in areas that increase the value of the company (cost reductions, innovations, solutions, etc.
) with a high bias for action.
This role is a “Catalyst of Change” wherein emphasis will be to deliver business value and operational solutions through the balanced supply chain expertise of this role and the team as a whole.
Identify growth and savings opportunities within the BU and/or factory and play a leadership role in developing the business cases around them.
Will provide operational/supply chain expertise to help define and execute against opportunities.
Ability to prioritize projects/opportunities through data stratification and analysis.
Ensure that robust and sustainable manufacturing plans exists for sites in scope, inclusive of product quality, financial performance, capacity plans, customer service, and people planning.
Important Details: This is a remote role with travel to US/Canada 50-65% of the time.
About You:
You’ll fit right in if you have:
5+ years’ advanced operational leadership (Plant Manager or higher) within the food industry, with a track record of delivering balanced (people, safety, quality, service and cost) and exceptional operational results.
Note: Leadership from either Food & Beverage, or other CPG, FDA, USDA related manufacturing companies will be considered.
A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Engineering, Science, Food Technology, Business Administration
Advanced degrees a strong plus.
Formal project management training or certifications also a plus
Proven strategic thought leadership in the development and enhancement of programs and processes, with the ability to take an enterprise-wide view always.
Thorough understanding of supply chain design and cost structure/drivers.
Broad based operational/technical proficiency.
Strong operational proficiency in either aseptic, bakery, hot fill, cold fill, dry powder or coffee/tea processes a strong desire.
Excellent understanding of process flow (and a demonstrated effective working relationship) within key supporting functions such as Planning, Quality, Finance, EH&S, HR, Technical Operations, Procurement, HR, and Logistics.
Track record of “getting things done” and a bias for action.
Proven skills in project management, negotiation, communication, problem solving and ability to perform these skills at an advanced level or higher.
Comfortable to communicate, present & influence Sr.
Leadership on key technical issues.
Solid ability to interact and collaborate with functional groups, external resources, suppliers and consultants to achieve objectives.
Continuous improvement mindset, to challenge current processes both internally and externally.
