Ameresco is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support the construction of projects nationwide, specifically; renewable natural gas (RNG) projects utilizing biomethane sources including landfill gas, wastewater treatment anaerobic digester gas, or agricultural anaerobic digester gas that is processed to achieve pipeline quality standards.
This position is a remote position and may require periodic travel.
Responsibilities:
Document control: maintaining organization of project documents, plans sets, and specifications onsite and on Procore and make sure they are distributed to the project team.
Assist with inventory control of instrumentation, valves, and equipment.
This includes working with the CMs/PMs to update logs and document the receipt and inspection of any item received on site to verify all required material orders are fulfilled.
Travel to jobsites periodically to assist the onsite CMs with jobsite trailer organization (plan sets, as-builts, etc) and assist with daily activities and project/contractor coordination.
The expectation is that the person who fills this position will travel between multiple projects at times to assist on various projects.
Assist with processing RFIs and submittals and follow through to make sure responses are received in a timely manner.
Attend project meetings and create/distribute meeting notes to project team in a timely manner.
Provide accurate and timely project status updates and communication to Managers.
Assist with issuing bid packages to vendors and subcontractors for pricing and delivery schedules.
Assist with analyzing proposals and bidder selection.
Assist with tracking progress of vendors and subcontractors.
Assist with the procurement of permits (city, county, or state).
Assist with budget tracking and planning.
Foster positive and effective business relationships with all parties
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or the equivalent.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience working with construction projects, preferably related to energy, renewable natural gas, power generation or the industrial area.
Additional Qualifications:
Advanced computer applications skills (Microsoft), including AutoCAD, Project, Excel, Bluebeam and Smartsheets.
Experience in developing project schedules utilizing Microsoft project.
Proven ability to work as part of a team and act quickly with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to interact and work with multi-functional teams including contractors, engineers, equipment vendors, customers and regulators.
Excellent organization skills including ability to effectively work on multiple projects.
Strong verbal, written, computer and communication skills.
Willingness to travel frequently to jobsite to during construction.
Willingness to grow, learn and be trained on more skills.
Valid Driver License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
