We’re seeking an organized, innovative, analytical and collaborative Senior Workday HRIS Analyst to join our team and help drive some of Ginkgo’s People System initiatives.
You will be responsible for designing, enhancing, implementing and supporting various people system related processes and solutions.
You will lead change initiatives and as one of our primary support contacts for Workday, you’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive operational improvements that optimize service levels and inform sound business decisions across Ginkgo.
Responsibilities: Act as a specialized techno-functional senior analyst, managing and leading assigned HR system projects and initiatives.
Have an expert level of techno-functional knowledge with the ability to lead the analysis, recommendation, and configuration of process improvements and system enhancements for our various Workday HCM modules.
Existing modules in production include Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, Time & Time Off, Payroll, and Performance.
Demonstrate a proactive and independent approach to problem-solving, identifying opportunities for system improvement and driving initiatives without constant supervision.
Collaborate and partner across multiple departments and teams to understand business needs and to assess Workday configuration feasibility and impact to other business processes, integrations, or security.
Design, create and maintain custom reporting, including calculated fields in the system.
Manage the 2 bi-annual Workday releases, identifying impact and enhancement opportunities associated with a new release, and communicating appropriately.
Manage and execute regression testing and introduction of required changes as new releases are introduced.
Provide functional and technical support, troubleshoot system problems, configure improvements, test system changes, and design & document test cases to confirm correct behavior.
Act as one of the primary day-to-day contacts for Workday, proactively engaging with user inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
Uphold best practices for People Systems’ ticket management within Jira, ensuring efficient triage & resolution of assigned tickets, adhering to SOX procedures.
Train HR and business users, including developing training materials, user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
Maintain awareness of current trends in Workday and best practices.
Minimum Requirements: You have a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, HR, or Business, or equivalent work experience.
You have 5+ years of successful Workday / HRIS experience as a functional/technical liaison, including a role in a functional area of end-to-end HRIS implementation.
You have strong working knowledge of Workday HCM functionality, configuration, and reporting.
You have strong technical aptitude and experience with report writing and data analysis.
You have the ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines, as well as take initiative, follow through on assignments, and accomplish goals.
Preferred Capabilities: You are great at diagnosing problems, using your critical thinking skills to devise innovative solutions.
You are a strong communicator (written and spoken) and are able to effectively collaborate with a wide range of people.
You have strong analytical skills with a demonstrated understanding of the concepts and issues unique to the management of HR data.
You’re capable of maintaining strict confidentiality and exercising discretion with sensitive data.
You thrive in a high-growth/fast-paced environment.
You have solid knowledge of human resources, with expertise in several functional areas (such as Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, etc.
).
You have a strong passion and drive for Ginkgo’s mission.
Total compensation for this role is market driven, with a starting salary of $minimum of range 88k+, as well as company stock awards.
Base pay is ultimately determined based on a candidate's skills, expertise, and experience.
