SUMMARY
The Quality Engineer is responsible for analyzing quality output using appropriate statistical methods and data analysis to help drive improvements to reduce process variation and the cost of quality.
They will conduct internal quality audits, and ensuring that the company’s quality system is implemented and maintained in a fashion that ensures all manufactured products are of the highest quality.
The individual in this position will investigate, analyze and recommend solutions to solve quality problems related to manufacturing and distribution processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.
Collect and analyze data to determine whether any manufacturing processes are in control and capable of production to specifications.
Exercise independent discretion and judgement to recommend solutions to quality issues.
Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality.
Analyze quality data and recommend changes in quality procedures and processes.
Perform root cause analysis of productivity problems and make recommendations to improve plant productivity.
Perform quality audits in conformance with ISO 9001 and Highline Warren’s Quality System.
Ensure Highline Warren’s Quality System is implemented and maintained in a fashion that assures all manufactured products are of the highest quality.
Create, implement, and maintain quality procedures and processes in conformance with ISO9001 and Highline Warren’s Quality System.
Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed, and manufactured to identify and rectify problems.
Ensure calibration of quality instruments is performed.
Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity while maintaining quality without reducing effectiveness.
Effectively apply continuous improvement methodology.
Adhere to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times.
Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
Travel required up to 10% of the time.

Minimum Experience, Education, and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field and 1-3 years’ related work experience required.
Experience in the automotive lubricants and chemicals industry and lean manufacturing is a plus.
Valid Drivers’ license and good driving record.
