About the Job OTTO Motors is looking for a Business Development Representative who is interested in a commercial and technical role to help drive the growth of autonomous mobile robot (AMR) solutions within the Strategic Verticals of the Go-To-Market team.
This role includes a range of activities which are primarily focused on the development, engagement, qualification and assignment of leads from inbound, outbound and referral sources.
The role requires some acumen of AMR technologies in order to provide a high-quality experience to a technical buyer persona.
The BDR, Autonomous Material Handling will be supported by a variety of specialists within the GTM team — Demand Generation, Content Marketing, Revenue Operations and Sales — to create engagement strategies that are technically accurate and valuable to the prospective customer.
This is a remote position and requires up to 30% travel to attend industry trade shows, customer demos and occasional in-person meetings.
This role will report to the Director, Marketing.
Responsibilities and Duties: Understand OTTO Motors’ value propositions in order to clearly align our solutions to the unique needs and goals of our prospective customers.
Qualify prospective customers against technical and commercial criteria using effective communication methods, predefined tools, and frameworks for a smooth transition to the sales team.
Generate new sales opportunities by building targeted outreach lists through effective B2B account prospecting strategies.
Establish connections with prospective customers, present OTTO Motors and our solutions positively, and evaluate the compatibility of our offerings with their specific needs.
Work in a metrics-driven environment, achieving quotas of qualified opportunities, pipeline attribution, and closed-won business.
Own lead data accuracy in systems and regularly track and report key metrics measuring the effectiveness of the process.
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Enablement teams to develop targeted campaigns that will meet unique customer needs and lead to net-new opportunity creation.
Offer insights to the marketing team on lead quality, prospect feedback, and new sales enablement needs to optimize the quality of experiences and leads.
Follow up with the sales team on converted leads to track their status and quality throughout the sales cycle, gathering intelligence on quality and conversion rates.
Attend industry functions, including conferences and association events, and contribute information and feedback on upcoming market trends.
Requirements Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in BDR or Inside Sales roles Comfortable initiating cold calls and engaging in high-level product discussions with senior executives.
Familiarity with the material handling or manufacturing industry, awareness of current events, or experience in selling high-tech solutions.
Skilled storyteller comfortable presenting a company and its products in any setting.
Possessed a deep understanding of how to quickly develop relationships with potential customers and qualify the wants and needs of their organization Demonstrates impeccable customer-facing skills in written, verbal, and presentation contexts.
Possesses experience in prospecting and CRM, preferably in Salesforce.
Preferably familiar with prospecting tools like Zoominfo, LinkedIn Sales Nav, and Outreach.
Preferably holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
