** Purpose: As a Field Services Engineer, you will facilitate testing and maintenance of electrical systems within renewable energy, industrial and commercial installations.
This position works mainly remote.
Responsibilities Travel to customer sites (Renewable, industrial & commercial) to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low, medium and high voltage (480V to 765kV) electrical systems.
This Job has the possibility for remote work.
Power transformer testing - Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc.
Ability to collect transformer oil samples.
Preferred if proficient in testing both electro-mechanical and solid-state relays.
Cable testing - Tan Delta, Partial Discharge, VLF, DC Hipot.
Low, Medium and High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing.
Reading schematics and wiring drawings.
Troubleshooting circuit breaker controls.
Ability to follow NETA ATS/MTS specifications/guidelines.
Ability to work on tight deadlines under pressure.
Ability to train apprentices and other team members.
Competency in Microsoft applications included Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Manage project files, drawings, documents & records in our project system.
Great communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willing to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.
Willing to be on call to address emergency outages with little notice; ability to deploy, travel to site and facilitate the service call.
Willing to work on out-of-town projects.
Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge of electrical, and/or photovoltaic (solar) construction.
Must have at least 5 or more years of relevant experience performing switchgear testing & troubleshooting.
Licensures and Certifications: NETA or NICET preferred.
Must have good PC skills including email, internet, data entry and Microsoft Excel.
Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures Prefer OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training; training on each can be provided by KE Must be able to drive daily locally/regionally and be available for periodic overnight travel Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that represents a history of safe & competent driving.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Physical Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time Must be capable of working in inclement conditions to include extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
