With a commitment to delivering innovative and memorable merchandise, we are seeking an experienced Imports Manager to join our dynamic team.
*Position Overview:* As the Imports Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our company by overseeing the design and sourcing of custom overseas products.
This role requires a strategic and detail-oriented professional who can manage the end-to-end import process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality merchandise that aligns with our clients' brand identities.
*Key Responsibilities-* *Product Design and Development:* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and design custom merchandise that meets client specifications and quality standards.
Work closely with graphic designers, product developers, and suppliers to bring innovative and marketable product ideas to life.
*Overseas Sourcing:* Identify and establish relationships with reliable overseas suppliers and manufacturers.
Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and emerging technologies in product manufacturing.
*Supplier Management:* Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and production timelines with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and on-time delivery.
Regularly evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
*Quality Control:* Develop and implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all imported products meet or exceed established quality standards.
Conduct factory visits and inspections to monitor production processes and address any quality issues promptly.
*Logistics and Customs Compliance:* Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics partners to optimize shipping and delivery processes.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and manage all documentation required for the importation of goods.
*Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, supply chain, international business, etc.
).
* Proven experience (3+ years) in designing and sourcing custom products overseas, preferably in the branded merchandise industry.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with overseas suppliers.
* In-depth knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and logistics.
* Detail-oriented, with a keen eye for design and quality control.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.
00 - $90,000.
