Byers Industrial Services is currently seeking to add an Industrial Mechanical Estimator to our team remote or in our Franklinville, NJ office.
Experience in the industrial mechanical field (Welding, Millwright, Pipefitting), as well as experience with estimating in the industrial sector is a must.
Our estimating team works very closely with our business development team and project management team for project hand-offs.
(NO Mechanical HVAC)
Qualifications:
2+ years of Electrical Estimating Experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Excellent Mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost calculations.
Knowledge of the Mechanical industry as well as Industrial sector.
Food and Beverage.
Manufacturing and Distribution.
Refineries.
Experience with bidding systems- Accubid, McCormick, Etc (preferred not required).
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Office, OneNote, etc.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with various team members.
Responsibilities:
Estimate the quantity and cost of materials needed for mechanical projects.
Calculating labor costs base on project scope.
Researching and obtaining quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
Analyzing project blueprints and specifications to determine mechanical requirements.
Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate estimates.
Creating detailed cost estimates and proposal to clients.
