Mainframe Systems Programmer- REMOTE

*Mainframe Systems Programmer- Remote.
* *Duration - 5 Year Project.
* *SCOPE OF SERVICES:* *zOS Support* * Support of the zSeries Operating System, including troubleshooting and correcting issues, conducting system maintenance, and advising on any efficiency improvements.
zOS Support tasks include but are not limited to: * System Modification Program/Extended (SMP/E) software, Program Temporary Fix (PTF), and upgrade installations; * Job Control Language (JCL) authoring, job submissions, and output review of scheduled jobs; * Creating monthly sub-capacity reports; • Problem management using the IBM support site; * Monitoring system resources and making required adjustments; * Providing training to ESS staff, ensuring proper knowledge transfer of installations, maintenance, and upgrade work efforts; * Developing and maintaining system documentation including upgrade procedures, installation guides, and test plans; and * Providing after-hours support for any production issues or outages and responding to the issue within one hour of initial contact.
*zSeries Attached Storage Support* * Support of the zSeries attached storage infrastructure, including VTS7000, TS4500, DS8000, or similar series administration.
Storage support tasks include but are not limited to: * Reviewing nightly backups and correct any failed tape jobs; * Determining physical and logical configurations of disk and storage devices; and * Virtual Tape Server data set allocation and management.
*IBM and Third-Party Software Support Support for IBM and third-party software installed on the zSeries system including:* * IBM Customer Information Control System (CICS), DB2, Host On-Demand (HOD), Job Entry Subsystem JES, and Hardware Security Module (HSM); * BMC Xpediter and Control-D; and • Broadcom ESP Workload Automation, TopSecret, and NetMaster.
* Software support tasks include but are not limited to: * Installing patches and upgrades of software as needed; and * Creating and managing IBM and third-party vendor support cases for problem management and work with vendors to resolve any issues that occur.
*MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:* *A.
* *The Initial Technical Resource has five to Twelve years of experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM zSeries hardware and Software* *B.
* *The Initial Technical Resource has five to Twelve years of experience managing IBM z/OS operating systems, including the use of SMP/E, JCL, IODF, HCD mapping, REXX scripting, and JES2.

* *The Technical Resource has five to Twelve years of experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM zSeries storage management systems, including VTS7000, TS4500, DS8000.
* *D.
* *The Technical Resource has five to Twelve years of experience with SMP/E software installation, applying patches, upgrades, and maintenance for zOS and installed applications.
* *E.
* *The Technical Resource has five to Twelve years of experience with zOS JCL authoring, job submissions, and output review.
* *F.
* *The Technical Resource is expected to act as an extension of the ESS team, coordinate assigned work, and maintain daily communication with ESS staff members and the ESS manager.
* *ADDITIONAL YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE -* M3.
Five to Twelve years of experience providing IBM zSeries maintenance and support solutions to clients for both hardware and software.
M4.
Five to Twelve years of experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM zSeries hardware.
M5.
Five to Twelve years of experience managing IBM z/OS operating systems, including the use of SMP/E, JCL, IODF, HCD mapping, REXX scripting, and JES2.
M6.
Five to Twelve years of experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM zSeries storage management systems, including VTS7000, TS4500, DS8000 M7.
Five to Twelve years of experience with SMP/E software installation, applying patches, upgrades, and maintenance for zOS and installed applications.
M8.
Five to Twelve years of experience with zOS JCL authoring, job submissions, and output review.

Experience implementing, maintaining, updating, and troubleshooting IBM iSeries (AS/400) operating systems.

At least one year of experience with Broadcom ESP software installation, applying patches/upgrades, and maintenance.

At least one year of experience with Broadcom Top Secret software installation, applying patches/upgrades, and maintenance.
P10.
Experience moving z/OS workloads to a cloud platform.
