Infrastructure Engineer is a member of Infrastructure Engineering team and is responsible for the design, development, deployment and maintenance of infrastructure systems and technologies as well as providing operational support of systems and tools.
Responsibilities: Includes, but not limited to, planning, systems analysis, design, scripting, database administration, and documentation.
Analyzing existing systems and Processes to recommend changes/improvements to them to maximize user capabilities.
Meeting assigned project deadlines and work schedules.
Timely and accurate completion of special projects and assignments.
Effective use of time and equipment to accomplish assigned projects.
Understanding, supporting, enforcing and complying with company policies, procedures and standards of business ethics and conduct.
Effective and consistent cooperation and communication with Team Leadership and key company personnel.
Performing duties in a professional, polite, considerate and courteous manner.
Participate in on-call rotations and perform off-hour maintenance activities.
Deploy, administer, and secure Linux, Windows, and Core MS Services.
Design and engineer high-availability, scalable solutions for new and existing services Support production infrastructure and development operations Automate repetitive tasks and workflows Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex issues Research, implement, and document new tools and processes Act as an escalation point for support departments in resolving internal and client-facing issues Learn new technologies required for improving current infrastructure and processes and guide (training) team members.
Required Skills and Competences Primary Skills: 8+ years of well-versed with Windows Systems Fundamentals, Architecture, Administration and Operations, along with network fundamentals for a multi-domain forest environment.
Installation and maintenance of Windows Environments and services like Authentication, File Services, Web Services, Configuration Management, IPAM (DHCP/DNS), Virtualization, DB Services (including solid understanding of supporting infrastructure like storage, network etc.
).
Understanding of Version Control Systems (like GIT, SVN, etc.
) Hands-on with Automation of daily tasks: Powershell DOS Batch Scripting Any Other Scripting Language Microsoft Core Services: AD/DNS/DHCP/ADFS (GPO, Sites and Services) RDS Azure AD DFS SQL Server Configuration Management (including Patch management): SCCM WSUS Virtualization: Vmware/HyperV Well Versed with ITSM Processes People Skills: Stakeholder Management Negotiation Preferred Skills: IIS (Web Services and Application Stack management) Azure Cloud Services (specifically Intune and Office Management) Knowledge of Infrastructure for Automation Anywhere Environments (RPA) Knowledge of Hyper-Converged Environments [HCI] (Nutanix Preferred/VMware) Familiarity with SQL Server Administration and principles Familiarity with DevOps and associated tools, including implementation in Wintel-based application stacks.
