*GSE Design & Analysis *specializes in providing consulting engineering services to various industries, including the nuclear power generation, utility industry, and operating facilities, including studies, calculations, analysis, drawing revisions, design changes, etc.
*Pay Range- *$120,000 to $160,000 annually, DOE.

* 22 days of vacation and 9 holidays * 401(k) w/ 50% match up to a maximum employee contribution of 6% *Essential Functions* * Perform analysis and design activities in support of site projects.
* Performs and independently reviews Process Hazards Analyses.
* Perform effective implementation of the facility’s Integrated Safety Analysis program and other engineering functional areas to ensure activities associated with design and construction satisfy the performance criteria of 10 CFR Part 70 Subpart H.
* Oversees engineering criteria and provides technical support for design, installation, and maintenance of site projects to ensure that system/equipment operates according to specifications.
* Leads the development of HAZOPs, What if Checklists, probabilistic studies, Fault Tree, and Event Tree Analyses.
* Ensures that design safety basis requirements, assumptions, and requirements are correctly prescribed in operating procedures.
*Competencies* * Must have strong knowledge of experience.
* Must have knowledge of 10 CFR Part 70 applicable regulations and NRC guidance documentation or equivalent.
* Must have experience in a 10 CFR part 70 facility or similar nuclear regulated facility.
* Must be familiar with NRC’s enforcement program.
* Strong verbal & written communication skills * Organization skills and ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines * Ability to use tools for scheduling, projecting, tracking, and managing time spent on projects.
* Ability to work as part of a team * Basic working knowledge of Microsoft 365 * Interpersonal Skills – a team player who can interface effectively with different levels of the organization internally and with clients.
* Must be capable of obtaining unescorted access at nuclear plants and other facilities requiring background authorization *Education & Experience* * BS Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program * 8 or more years of related work experience: of which 2 years’ experience is in a nuclear facility * 2-3 years of experience performing licensing functions (preferred at a Part 70 licensee) * Design Safety Basis Development, HAZOP, Documented Safety Analysis experience.
* Professional Engineers (PE) License preferred but not required.
*Physical Demands* * Occasional travel to industrial location(s) for walk-downs or analysis (requires wearing personal protective equipment such as hard hat, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection) * Occasional travel to industrial locations may require taking stairs on walkdowns or working in hot environments (outside, turbine building, etc.
) * Occasional travel to industrial locations may require working in a radiologically controlled area.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
* Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
*Working Conditions:* * General office environment.
(Remote) * The working environment is generally favorable.
* Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
* Occasional walkdowns in an industrial or construction type environment * Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear facility * Ability to travel to New Mexico about 25% of the time.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $120,000.
