POSITION SUMMARY The Benefits Manager owns the Employee Benefits administration within the People department for the Company, including all employee insurance, retirement, wellness, and other company-provided benefits.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES Work with Vice President of People & Chief People Officer to create processes and fully utilize systems and resources to optimize the employee benefits for the company.
Ensure Enrollment processes are set up, tested, and functioning properly within HRIS.
Maintain accurate benefit data in HRIS system.
Ensure accurate benefit deductions are made.
Ensure feeds with providers are tested and work accurately.
Use HRIS data to ensure enrollments, billing, and invoicing is accurate and corrections or payments submitted timely.
Troubleshoots issues with available resources to resolve technical issues in systems.
Partner with Providers, Brokers, Recordkeepers, Auditors, and Accounting to ensure all reporting and communication is provided as requested and required.
Prepare, audit, and provide government-required reporting.
Prepare and communicate benefit offerings and required notifications to employees.
Develop and update employee communication and postings with accurate and timely benefits information.
Answer employees’ questions timely and accurately.
Ensure compliance with all relevant benefit regulations.
Project work in Benefits and Compensation.
Backup for payroll processing.
As the People Department has only a few staff, other duties will be assigned within the People department.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and Human Resources experience 4 years minimum experience as an HR professional Minimum of 2 years of experience in Benefits Knowledge of Employee Benefit and Administration laws Proven Proficiency using MS Office applications and HRIS systems Excellent organization and planning skills Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload Ability to show urgency and flexibility in completing tasks when needed by a deadline or benefit issue Ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish objectives in a timely manner Proven ability to effectively communicate with all employee levels Proven success in benefit administration Experience in Payroll Administration PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Experience in benefit plan design and strategy General knowledge of People policies and procedures ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred Benefits or Human Resources professional certification SCANTRON IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
