Position: Senior software Engineer Job Description: LOCATION Qualified candidates may work remotely with potential travel to the Jacksonville, FL HQ.
SUMMARY Designs, builds, and maintains full stack Java applications for the organization.
Our Java Software Engineers develop applications in an Agile SDLC.
Responsible for the development of Java enterprise applications utilizing frameworks such as Spring Boot.
This position will have responsibilities in full life cycle development within a services-oriented architecture, including design, programming, testing, packaging, deploying, and maintaining service and infrastructure components.
Works closely with business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES Provides full stack Java design and development of projects involving application development, migrations, and additions to existing applications Designs and develops APIs necessary to affect front end functionality and/or be consumed by other partners Designs and creates data models for applications and databases to persist them Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements Writes technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements Develops and/or reviews development of test protocols for testing application before user acceptance with an emphasis on automated Acceptance Tests, Unit Tests, Component Tests, and Scenario Tests Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance May mentor or guide work of less experienced software development staff Remains current on industry standards in web development Works closely with other engineers, vendor partners and business owners to ensure that the finished solution meets the needs of the business and our customersPerforms additional related duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience Requires 4+ years of software engineering work experience Experience working with Java development technologies Experience with Spring or Spring Boot frameworks and ancillary features such as Spring Web, Spring JPA, Spring Security Experience with SOAP and RESTful service development & Design and working with microservices applications Extensive API design experience required PREFERRED QUALFICATIONS As this is a Senior Engineer, 5-7 years of experience preferred Experience with any of the Kubernetes based platforms (OpenShift (OCP), EKS/ECS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry) Experience with applications running on Apache Experience working on Linux/Unix Environment/OS Experience writing process automation scripts Experience working with applications in the cloud Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React are a plus Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines Familiarity with source code management tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira or Git Proficiency with development technique such as Behavior Driven Development Testing, Test Driven Development, Acceptance Tests, Unit Tests, Component Tests and/or Scenario Tests Familiarity working in a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) leveraging Agile principles Knowledge of the mortgage lifecycle Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Any cloud certification a plus (e.

, AWS, Azure, OCP) The target pay range for this position is typically $101,920.
00 - $139,360.
