Provides field technical support for maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of Neogen Corporation's Microbiology related product lines, predominantly Soleris, ANSR, and MDS.
Provides field technical support for maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of Neogen Corporation's Microbiology related product lines, predominantly Soleris, ANSR, and MDS.
This individual will be traveling up to 80% to different locations on the Eastern side of the United States.
Responsibilities include:
Travel up to 80% of the time for customer training and support, preventative maintenance, and/or troubleshooting.
Becomes proficient with the in depth operation and maintenance of the Soleris, ANSR, and MDS instruments.
Regular costumer contact and scheduling of all onsite visits.
Prepare customer quotes for training, maintenance, and trouble shooting issues.
Preparation of travel itineraries that will be shared with leadership on a regular basis.
Documentation for all customer tasks and proper disposition of documents to ensure completion of these processes.
Perform customer facing activities such as answering telephone calls and emails, as well as regular customer meetings to gather or deliver data.
Problem solving and troubleshooting for microbiology product lines.
Coordination of lab support with manager and technical service team.
Effectively communicates the voice of the customer back to Neogen sales, technical service, product management, and marketing teams.
Participates in weekly customer follow up post installation.
Participates in marketing initiatives and new product promotion when onsite with customers.
Provide phone and on site technical support regarding kit components and performance.
Perform all required annual training in the allotted time frame.
Follow all standard operating procedures.
Meet all competency and achievement goals as set by department.
Understand and work with various computer applications and modules including Excel, Work, Ring Central, Sales Force, and Share Point.
Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance.
Education and Experience
Minimum bachelor’s degree in physical science, chemistry, or related fields, with recent experience from either University or employment.
Knowledge of food science preferred.
Experience in a Technical Service role preferred.
