We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Applications to lead our dynamic team and drive innovation in our healthcare technology solutions.
As the Senior Manager of Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Applications, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our patient access and revenue cycle management systems and overall customer and staff experience.
This position plays a critical role in our Information Technology team as the link between customer, operations, revenue cycle, and technology support.
You will be responsible for leading a team of professionals, defining strategic goals, and ensuring the successful implementation and continuous improvement of these critical systems.
Your expertise will be instrumental in streamlining operations, enhancing patient experiences, and maximizing revenue for our healthcare organization.
Responsibilities Own the overall success of the patient registration, scheduling, and revenue cycle management applications and front-to-back customer experience.
Build and manage relationships with operational and revenue cycle business owners to understand workflows and how the software facilitates patient care delivery.
Lead and inspire a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for patient access and revenue cycle applications to support the organization's objectives.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and incorporate them into the strategic plan.
Provide direction and guidance to JV partner health systems in the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of patient access and revenue cycle functionality.
Review and understand business and revenue drivers for feature use and adoption and work to deliver ROI to the organization through creation and prioritization of new or improved features Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitive/comparable products on the market.
Work with business and operations leadership to coordinate and execute communications around technology and workflow changes.
Partner with training team to create e-learnings, quick tips, and other “just in time” training content and compose manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures.
Escalating risks and issues as appropriate to the project sponsor and/or the external partner.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring service levels, and contract compliance.
Collaborate with vendors to enhance product functionality and resolve any issues promptly.
Utilize data analytics to track revenue cycle performance, identify revenue leakage, and optimize revenue collection processes.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, patient access, or healthcare IT leadership roles Epic Administrator Certification in Prelude, Cadence, Professional Billing, or other equivalent application administration experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships at multiple levels to work cross organizationally toward solutions; excellent leadership and consensus building skills Strong understanding of patient access processes, healthcare operations, and revenue cycle management applications.
Excellent analytical, technical, and data-driven problem-solving skills Proven track record of successful project management and system implementations.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to build and present high quality product demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences Experience working with Epic Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Applications Knowledge of healthcare integrations such as HL7, FHIR, and/or APIs to connect patient access or revenue cycle systems for automation and efficiency.
Experience with healthcare business processes within physician practices and associated application software/EHR necessary to support those processes within an integrated delivery system
