Sales/Design Engineer Representative - Remote Position

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Sales/Design Engineer Representative specializing in designing and specifying direct connected chimneys for commercial foodservice equipment, particularly wood and gas-fired pizza ovens.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and working with customers to provide cutting-edge chimney systems that meet industry standards and exceed customer expectations.
This is currently a part-time/contract role actively being developed to a full-time salaried position.
Responsibilities: Chimney System Design: Design and develop direct connected chimney system quotations tailored to the unique requirements of wood and gas-fired pizza ovens using proprietary VentBOM software and CAD packages.
Code Compliance: Ensure that all chimney designs and specifications adhere to relevant industry standards and codes, including NFPA 96, IMC, and local building codes.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of chimney systems into our commercial foodservice equipment.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers, distributors, and installers by addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance on chimney installation and maintenance.
Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of chimney designs, specifications, and testing results.
Research and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve chimney designs and meet evolving customer needs.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on designing chimney systems for commercial foodservice equipment.
Proficiency in CAD software for 2D and 3D modeling (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
).
In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes, such as NFPA 96.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and provide technical support to external stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality designs and specifications.
Experience with performance testing and simulation software is a plus.
