Learn how we are making a difference in people’s lives today! Job Description Cognosante is looking for a motivated, hands-on ETL/Migrations Specialist with Talend experience joining a high-performing Data Ecosystem (DE) team.
As a ETL/Migrations Specialist, you will serve as part of a migration team reporting to the Technical Manager.
The Technical Manager will serve as the technical subject matter expert and Solution Architect over the Contractor’s team implementing the Data Ecosystem.
The Technical Manager will lead the strategy and implementation for the end-to-end Data Lake solution by taking into consideration the client’s business case, objectives, requirements, constraints, technology landscape, and technology standards.

Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data integration requirements and objectives.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for ETL processes.
Update and maintain all production technologies ensuring proper maintenance and installation.
Identify and connect to various data sources, including databases, APIs, flat files, and external systems.
Develop scripts or use ETL tools to extract data from source systems while ensuring data integrity.
Design and implement data transformation logic to cleanse, format, and enrich data.
Convert data into a consistent format for integration into the target system.
Handle data validation, standardization, and deduplication.
Define and implement processes to load transformed data into the target data lake.
Optimize loading processes for performance and efficiency.
Use ETL tools (such as Talend) or custom scripting to develop ETL workflows and jobs.
Configure ETL components and transformations to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Required Qualifications Proven experience as an ETL developer or data integration specialist.
Strong expertise in designing, developing, and implementing ETL processes using Talend.
Proficiency with: Demonstrated expertise in using Talend Studio for ETL development.
Ability to create complex ETL jobs using Talend components, transformations, and connectors.
Experience with Talend's built-in debugging and error handling mechanisms.
In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data normalization.
Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and optimization.
Familiarity with various data sources and file formats, such as databases, APIs, flat files, XML, JSON, etc.
Understanding of data integration best practices and methodologies.
Ability to design ETL processes that ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
Knowledge of data profiling and cleansing techniques to improve data quality.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.
g.
, Python) for automation and data manipulation tasks.
Ability to develop custom scripts to enhance ETL processes as needed.
Willingness to stay updated with the latest ETL and data integration trends, tools, and technologies.
Understanding of data security best practices and compliance requirements Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years of experience Implementing large-scale healthcare IT solutions within environments similar to that of the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Building and supporting mission critical, multi- tier large scale healthcare applications Data Management / Data Lake experience with MMIS data being the prime data source.
