Sachs Electric Company POSITION DESCRIPTION DEPARTMENT: St.
Louis Regional Group POSITION: Preconstruction Manager REPORTS TO: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Performs or oversees daily operations of one or multiple project preconstruction activities.
Preconstruction Manager is to act as a key leader in the entire work acquisition process including management, coordination and delivery of the preconstruction phases of the project and extensive client contact.
Build and retain strong client relationships to facilitate successful projects and build new business opportunities.
Develop and maintain leads, review lead sources, participate and help guide the identification of target projects.
Lead preparation of proposals for new business and presentations to clients.
Identify creative and cost-effective methods of meeting project goals, often requiring "outside the box" thinking, insightful problem-solving and innovative thinking.
Constructability review and value analysis.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 2-4 years of applicable experience Engineering, Technical, or Construction Management degree or equivalent experience Experience utilizing estimating software Experience with Design-Build and Design-Assist Delivery Methods Experience with conceptual estimating Leadership ability Self starter Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills Innovative problem-solving ability Strong sense of urgency Strong ability to build relationships and influence others into action Commitment to client service Maintain composure and professionalism in difficult situations Strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills Proven ability to work independently with a high degree of organization Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment Able to develop strategies for improvement Strong working knowledge of the Electrical Construction industry, relevant work experience required Working knowledge of Microsoft Products including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Working knowledge of applications and benefits of BIM Embrace new technology Sachs Electric Company is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer regardless of race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious beliefs, marital status, genetic information, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
