Field Service Engineer

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Guardian Bandsaw team.
Over the past 5 years, we have expanded rapidly and we have recently made the move to set up a base in Omaha.
Your primary role requires you to commission and install new equipment in a variety of different plants across the country and service/maintenance work – this means you will be a road warrior and be comfortable being away from home a lot of the time attending to our valuable clients! What’s the role? Commissioning and installing new equipment at meat processing + industrial plants across the country.
Completing planned service work at meat processing + industrial plants across the country.
Technical training of installed equipment for onsite staff.
Remote fault finding and service assistance using online tools.
Maintain and document service project records electronically.
What do you need? Capable of performing installation quality review and support.
A tertiary level mechanical level qualification or comparable vocational certificate is required.
Mechanical and electrical maintenance skills with ability to trouble shoot and document using online tools.
Experience working with PLC technology driven equipment.
Work with a wide variety of production machinery, industrial sensors, and equipment.
To be physically fit.

Who are you? Experience working with electrical/mechanical components.
Be able to travel extensively (up to 80%).
Be technically inquisitive and proactive mindset to trouble-shoot installation challenges.
Experience in the manufacturing industry advantageous.
Show up on time for the day and work with honesty throughout the day.
Ability to work autonomously and work to deadlines.
A methodical, careful and excellent work ethic.
Good knowledge of H&S.
Proactive member and contributor to the team.
Have a passion for working with and training new customers.
