JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of Director, Revenue Cycle Applications, the Manager of Revenue Cycle Applications (RCA) provides the Finance division with operational management and oversight for assigned revenue cycle software and staff.
They provide leadership to staff, establishing and ensuring adherence to standards of systems development, maintenance, and support.
The manager leads efforts to provide continuous availability of assigned systems that are crucial to the overall hospital operations.
They coordinate, plan and supervise the performance of staff and resources to ensure completion of assigned duties.
The RCA Manager directs, manages, coordinates and reviews the work of RCA information systems technical professionals engaged in performing project management, analysis, applications programming, development, installation, and maintenance and support for one or more enterprise-wide clinical, financial, physician support, and/or administrative areas of information systems.
The RCA Manager plans and implements effective inter-departmental communication in addition to conducting general staff meetings, meeting with staff members, setting priorities and providing resource development with and for staff.
The RCA Manager directs all system modules that are associated with the Revenue Cycle.
System management includes managing the definition of system and user acceptance test procedures and scripts, assisting with the preparation of training and education services, identifying and documenting support requirements, and recommending appropriate support mechanisms.
The RCA Manager oversees the scheduling of activities to support Revenue Cycle application software implementations, upgrades and enhancements to ensure that activities are completed on a timely basis.
The RCA Manager performs project management, analysis, applications programming, development, installation, and maintenance and support for systems that support the pillars of the Revenue Cycle at Rady Children's Hospital.
The RCA Manager demonstrates knowledge and ability to collect appropriate data for management and financial decision making.
EPIC, Meditech, PeopleSoft, etc.
, EPIC HB install or EPIC HB and EPIC Claims application build experience highly preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
5 years of experience
Three years of experience in information systems principles and practices
Think and process critically, analytically and problem solve skillfully
Delegate and achieve organizational results with and throughout all levels of the organization
Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Effectively manage a team of Business Systems professionals in an integrated environment, overseeing system selection, design, build, validation, implementation, upgrades and production support
Three years of experience in fundamentals of hospital organization, management techniques and HIPAA requirements
Interpret functional and/or technical specifications and to communicate technical issues to programmers and non-technical users/clients
Lead and mentor, to provide guidance and foster a collaborative cross functional/cross platform team environment
Communicate effectively, clearly, accurately and concisely, verbally and in writing
Implementation experience with previous integrated HealthCare Information systems with emphasis on Clinical/Financial, ERP/EMR applications/systems
Hold others accountable, provide feedback and constructive criticism and to effectively manage conflict and ambiguity
Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of experience in a Lead/Supervisory role in lieu of a Bachelor's
The expected hiring range for this position is $50.
