Job Summary:
Successful candidates must have refined verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, outstanding influencing and negotiating skill and be able to self-manage.
_Estimates_
* Prepares work to be estimated by gathering scopes, blueprints, specifications, and related documents sent by AFF inspectors
* Prepares estimates in Xactimate reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends as needed
* Appraises or determines the value of structures and contents
* Maintains contact and a professional relationship with Project Managers and interactions with AFF employees
* Identifies and computes labor, material, and time requirements utilizing Xactimate
* Resolves pricing discrepancies by collecting and analyzing outside information
* Presents prepared estimates for approval
* Continually updates technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications
* Creates and delivers estimate within 2 business days of when all information is received
_Advocate_
* Works with Adjuster to determines whether the insured’s policy covers the claimed loss
* Advocates for the policyholder (our clients)
* Explains and justifies a fair and reasonable claim settlement for the insured and profitable for AFF
* Communicates with Project Managers on approvals and changes to the claim
* Owns the claim from inception to final payment
* Provides documents to the insurance company within reasonable timeframe
* Maintain a professional relationship with all representatives from the insurance company
Requirements & Qualifications
* 1+ years’ experience writing estimates in Xactimate (required); Level 3 preferred
* 1+ years’ experience in general construction and restoration (required)
* Current and in-depth knowledge of construction regulations (required)
* Experience with Matterport, Google Suites, and Slack (required)
* IICRC Certification (preferred)
* Experience with DASH, Hoover, Eagle view, Company Cam, and Adobe (preferred)
* Experience with TPAs, MRPs, and satisfying Carrier Requirements or Contractors (preferred)
* Demonstrate self-motivation with the ability to plan, organize, and complete tasks independently without close supervision
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Problem-solving aptitude
* Ability to work well with a team
* Customer-oriented attitude
* Exceptional attention to detail
