Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In coordination with the Project Coordinator, organize commissioning work to be completed, supporting activities required, and the appropriate schedule to adhere to
Reviews and verifies all pertinent project documentation including, but not limited to safety checklists, project orders, work schedules, drawings, schematics, manuals, etc.
Collaborates with Site Supervisor and Senior Installation Engineer to ensure an efficient transfer from installations to the commissioning department
Commissions machinery based on Acceptance Protocol including proper operation post-installation
Performs advanced-level troubleshooting of technical issues on-site and the ability to resolve them independently Functions as the primary technical point of contact during the commissioning process at customer locations while providing pertinent feedback proactively to the Project Coordinator
Leads the performance-based test runs according to the test protocol, collects, and analyzes data, promptly diagnoses and addresses any failures
Conducts digitally recorded backups of all machine parameters for customer transfers
Provides technical guidance and support to Commissioning Engineers as needed
Assesses and trains machine operators on functionality and maintenance based on established protocols and provides insight to the Project Coordinator accordingly
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 80%.
Must be able to work three weeks on and one week off format.
Experience working in the steel manufacturing industry 3 – 4 years.
Professional experience working in the computerized numerical control (CNC) machinery industry and/or working.
with mechanical and electrical machinery in general.
Being able to speak, read, and write the English language is required to interact effectively with internal and external customers while out in the field.
Advanced computer proficiency (i.
e.
, Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook, Teams, etc.
) at least two years.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing.
