About the Infrastructure Engineer position: We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and improving IT infrastructure.
This includes hardware, software, servers, storage solutions, and physical facilities.
What you'll do as an Infrastructure Engineer: Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot physical servers, storage, virtual machines, and service-related appliances follows best practices for the configuration, installation, support, and maintenance, of critical software and hardware components.
Completes all installs and upgrades of OS, Hypervisor, and firmware are conducted in line with established processes Ensures monitoring of performance, security, and uptime are occurring as per the defined policies.
Helps ensure that all system backups and data replication are occurring per the documented RTO and RPO requirements of customers.
Participates in the regular testing of backup and DR systems to ensure systems are functioning as expected.
Completes assigned patching in line with the current security policy.
Follow Change Management processes to implement configuration changes.
Follow Problem Management processes to troubleshoot and resolve recurring issues.
Participates in the on-call rotation to ensure 24 x 7 support of IT operations.
Requirements: What you'll need to be a successful Infrastructure Engineer: 1-3 years of experience in systems administration within an enterprise environment.
Proven understanding of Operating Systems including Windows and Linux.
Fundamental understanding of Virtualized and Physical servers and other devices.
Experience in enterprise-level IT Monitoring, Alerting, and Reporting.
Understanding and comprehension of core IT Security principles and governance.
Comprehension and capability administrating core aspects of Storage Array and data at rest technology.
Understanding of Backup and data retention principles.
PowerShell or equivalent scripting a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide scalable solutions to complex challenges.
Effective team player with the ability to collaborate in a global team environment.
Must be able to function within a fast-paced, constantly changing, and improving team and organization.
Willingness to participate within a department-level on-call 24/7 pager rotation.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
