Summary:
Responsible for performing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure and related systems.
Also provides technical support and troubleshoots problems on local area network (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), VPN, and data networks.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Configures, and updates traffic rules and troubleshoots company firewalls.
· Builds rules, updates rules and troubleshoots web filter and Intrusion Prevention System.
· Maintains overall inbound and outbound network connectivity using routers and Cisco gateway.
· Maintains internal network infrastructure including switch fabric, monitoring and troubleshooting.
· Monitors network for system status alerts regarding servers, web applications, and network connectivity.
· Administers internal secure WIFI.
Provides reports on equipment and user access.
· Provide technical services and support regarding network infrastructure and VPN, Cloud, WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security devices.
· Integrates network technology with other information systems and performs testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and maintenance.
Secondary Responsibilities:
· Uses Help Desk Jira Software Ticket Application to monitor ticket queue and address all network related service requests.
· Creates user voicemail and telephone accounts as well as voicemail, hunt groups, and route partitions using cloud based VOIP system.
· Participates in off-hours support.
· Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Essential:
· Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of fundamental networking/distributed computing environment principles.
· Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of network security concepts and solutions
· Must have advanced ability with Cisco network systems – including routers, switches, Cisco Next Gen firewalls, VPN, and remote access systems.

· Ability to adjust and be flexible to meet changing needs and demands of internal and external clients.
· Resourcefulness and ability to take the initiative in development and completion of work projects.
This position will report out of our Allentown, PA office remotely.
Close proximity to Allentown is preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related discipline or two year college degree with relevant experience.
· At least five (5) years’ experience with Cisco network systems, including routers, switches, Cisco Next Gen firewalls, VPN, and remote access systems.
· Professional certification preferred.
