Applications Engineer

Description: Job Summary: The Application Engineer will provide expert-level technical guidance and solution engineering for eDiscovery applications.
This role involves complex problem-solving, SQL script development, comprehensive documentation, and mentoring support staff on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT systems, particularly in eDiscovery environments, with certifications in relevant applications and a strong background in troubleshooting, infrastructure management, and SQL.
Role and Responsibilities: Provide advanced second-tier support for eDiscovery applications, notably Relativity and Brainspace, by addressing complex technical issues and collaborating with System Administrators for effective problem resolution.
Enhance the security, reliability, and performance of key applications through vulnerability remediation, ensuring system uptime, and maintaining stability.
Design, install, and manage essential technology platforms like SQL, RabbitMQ, and Elastic.
Responsibilities include configuration, installation, and timely patching.
Develop and implement SQL scripts for report generation and data manipulation within eDiscovery application databases.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including FAQs, Knowledge Base articles, troubleshooting guides, and SOPs.
Mentor and provide training to junior staff, offering guidance and support for complex issues.
Flexibly and adaptably handle various assigned duties, catering to evolving technology scenarios Participate in the on-call rotation and perform monthly maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements: Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) certification or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT or eDiscovery.
Bachelor's degree in IT, or equivalent additional experience in a related field.
Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to create dynamic queries using T-SQL.
Skills in profiling and monitoring network, disk, SQL Server, and other infrastructure components.
Preferred Requirements: Relativity Infrastructure Specialist (RIS) certification or equivalent experience.
Experience in troubleshooting Reveal (Brainspace), Nuix, eCapture, Venio, and/or LAW.
Experience in OS-level troubleshooting with Windows Server or Linux.
Proficiency in Powershell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
