Overview:
By Light Company is looking for a DevOps Engineer.
Our team directly supports the DOD Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) to collaborate to evolve our Cyber Range portfolio.
The DevOps Engineer works remotely as a member of the development and integration team charged with the integration, production, testing, and deployment of software installation packages for integration into cyber ranges.
General DevOps duties include: creation and maintenance of online distribution repos, development of Linux based packages and patches, development and testing of end-user installation strategies, automation of build and deployment processes.
General duties include: requirements gathering and analysis, design, coding, testing and validation, and research.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for automating software builds and range configurations.
Responsible for Linux software package creation and deployment and for creation and maintenance of the on-line distribution repository.
Responsible for creating infrastructure as code environments for complex virtualized networks.
Responsible for platform testing of package installations.
Develop and maintain end-user software installation documentation.
Document build, test, and deploy processes.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Three (3) years of DevOps experience
Understanding of Networking, Linux Systems, Windows, Testing, Agile Software Development/Software Development Life Cycle
Expertise with Linux software packaging, repos, deployment and Linux virtualization (KVM)
Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery
Experience with GitLab/Bitbucket
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
Experience with one or more automation testing platforms (Jenkins)
Experience in containerization (Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker)
Experience in environment orchestration (AWX, Crossplane)
Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Bash, Ansible, React
Experience with virtualized network environments (VMware vCenter and NSX desired)
Special Requirements/Security Clearance:
DoD Secret security clearance (Or the ability to obtain one), preferred
Up to 25% travel
