UK Sales Development - Plastics
Responsible for the ongoing acquisition, retention and further development of our UK based polymer manufacturing customer base to ensure the continued growth of Enva Plastics.
The ideal candidate will have current professional working knowledge of both the UK and European Styrenics market.
Self motivated with excellent organisational skills the successful candidate will be able to work well alone, but also able to form strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure that they can effectively communicate the technical product needs of the client to the Enva production and product development team.
Responsibilities Include
Developing and implementing targeted sales strategies along with the Commercial Manager & Managing Director based on current company needs and product output to achieve company goals, growth and financial objectives.
To market Enva Plastics portfolio of products with a specific focus on our range of ABS and HIPS compounds and Regrinds.
Fully understand Enva Plastics product range and all potential relevant market applications.
Create and develop strong working relationships with new customers, including regular on site meetings at client premises to identify new opportunities and product development where possible.
Create and manage sales pipelines to meet growth targets.
Approach new prospective customers through a wide range of media including cold calling on the phone, following up Group generated warm leads, attending relevant industry expo’s and exhibitions, and in person where appropriate.
Take ownership of, and manage a growing portfolio of clients as a trusted and knowledgeable primary point for Enva Plastics.
Fully understand the UK Recycled Polymer compound market, Enva Plastics competitors strengths & weaknesses and the UK market as a whole with regular updates and feedback on market conditions, relevant product pricing and any new product / market needs and opportunities.
Timely reporting of data and sales figured.
Active involvement and input into internal sales meetings.
Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
Networking via professional industry events and exhibitions.
Keep abreast of industry news and developments, sharing information freely with colleagues.
Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring.
Key Skills
Positive experience in a commercial role dealing with technical sales using a consultative sales approach.
Ability to develop and maintain new business through a range of channels.
Key client relationship management experience.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Excellent organisational and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of the recycling industry and plastics preferable, but not essential.
