*POSITION: Production Supervisor *
*DATE: *September 2023
*ROLE: *
Will assist the Production Department and CEO of EOM Offshore in various responsibilities, as outlined below.
The individual will help instill a culture of modern project management in all phases of the company's operations.
Will assist in updating manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, procurement, and inventory control.
Will assist in maintaining the inventory process.
*RESPONSIBILITIES and REQUIREMENTS: *
* Learns and takes lead in various manufacturing processes as designated
* Maintains, organizes and archives project data
* Maintains and keeps current EOM's inventory program (FishBowl)
* Oversees purchasing, shipping, and receiving processes, including QA/QC
* Assists in project costing and project budgeting
* Leads in preparation of SOPs and project flow descriptors; assures these are followed by
Production Team.
* Assures proper use of Risk Assessment and Methods Statement (RAMS) for offshore work
* Obtains and maintains appropriate training and licensing, including vehicles and other manufacturing processes and procedures
* Takes charge for assigned projects and accomplishes daily project tasks to remaining on schedule
* Leads various manufacturing processes with little or no direct supervision
* Delegates tasks to subordinates and ensuring task completion on schedule
* Proficient in metal and plastics fabrication; ability to solder, weld, use polyurethane products
* Proficient using forklift, overhead bridge crane, and other shop tools as required
*SUPERVISION EXERCISED: *Production Technicians as assigned.
*SUPERVISION RECEIVED: *CEO.
*PERFORMANCE EVALUATION: *
Performance evaluation will be based on:
* Solid organizational and documentation skills.
* Successful completion of assigned projects as part of a project team.
* Accuracy of tracking support and satisfactory input to project reports.
* Accomplishment of tasks within the budget and schedule.
* Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing.
* Ability to interact satisfactorily with employees and management.
* Cleanliness and orderliness of the high bay and production areas.
* Time management and adherence to time requirements (work hours, schedules).
* Innovation in work and desire to learn and expand knowledge base.
* Successful oversight of production personnel.
* Successful lead in weekly Production Meetings.
*QUALIFICATIONS: *
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in oceanographic production and assembly.
Experience with warehouse and heavy equipment operation.
*STATUS*:
This position is classified as a full-time position and incurs an initial 90-day observation period; upon successful completion, employee will be entitled to company benefits.
*LOCATION: *
The home office is based in Pocasset, MA.
The position may require some travel in/out of country.
Occasional at-sea time will be required as well.
