We are seeking a dedicated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to join our Communication Services team as a Donation Coordinator.
This position is responsible for receiving and prioritizing death referral calls and contacting their next of kin to offer tissue and eye donation.
This role plays a vital part in our mission of saving lives!

This job will report to our Omaha, NE office with a remote option for candidates with donation coordination experience who live in Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Job Responsibilities
Calls next of kin to gain approval for tissue and eye donation.
Gathers and assesses patient medical records and medical social history to determine tissue donation suitability.
Completes necessary paperwork with the next of kin to prepare for donation.
Collaborates with coroners, funeral homes, hospitals, and other internal departments.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all calls, responses, and actions taken.
Stays calm and composed under high-pressure situations, ensuring quick and accurate decision-making.
Uses empathy and active listening to understand individual needs and build rapport.
Environment
Consistently on the phone, instant messaging, and computer
12-hour shifts (7 am – 7 pm)
Provide support and approach for donation to grieving families
Experience
Previous healthcare field experience as EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or RN, is preferred.
Call Center background is helpful.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and focused while working with grieving families.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Requirements
Associate degree focused in health sciences or nursing is preferred, or equivalent training and experience required.
Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification is preferred, but not required.
Annual Salary Range: $45,400-$54,348 Depending on experience.
