*Location* This position offers hybrid work that could require up to 50% travel with limited notice.
Candidates must reside in the United States and in a state where remote work is already approved.
The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $85,000 annually.
*Who You Are* As the Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within our organization, you will safeguard employee well-being and minimize our business's environmental impact.
You must possess the knowledge and capability to initiate the development and execution of environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
*Responsibilities* * Conduct facility inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
* Develop and implement inspection policies, procedures, and a routine inspection schedule.
* Create health and safety procedures for all company areas.
* Coordinate and schedule training sessions covering emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
* Monitor compliance with safety procedures and draft inspection reports documenting findings.
* Maintain readily accessible material safety data sheets.
* Keep records of hazardous waste discharge or employee exposure, as required.
* Oversee OSHA compliance and conduct initial investigations into workers' compensation claims.
* Assist in insurance claims related to safety for employees and customers.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
* Required Skills/Abilities* * Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Proficiency in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
* Education and Experience* * Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Master’s degree desirable.
* Five years of related experience preferred.
* OSHA and other safety training and/or certifications can be a substitute for education.
* Physical Requirements* * Ability to conduct inspections and carry inspection equipment.
* Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
