*Vice President of Finance* *The ideal candidate will be located in one of our states of operation: FL, IA, KY, MD, MI, MO, MT, NC, SC, TN or WI.

The *Vice President of Finance *will direct and oversee all the financial activities of the rehab company, including preparation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts of future business growth and general economic outlook.
This role will partner with the COO in developing and implementing the national and strategic vision for the company.
*Responsibilities not limited to:* * Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment.
* Responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization; including development of short and long term strategic financial objectives.
Direct and oversee all aspects of the financial aspects of the organization’s Finance & Accounting; including accounts payable accounts receivable and purchasing.
* Advise, evaluate, teach, train & assist the management team with financial planning and economic modeling while raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.
* Assess organizational performance against the annual budget and the company’s long-term strategy.
* Analysis of budget & financial trends and forecast in a timely and accurate manner.
* Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the team and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
* Engage the senior executives, management & field teams around issues, trends, and changes in the operating model(s) and operational delivery.
* Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with company’s strategic plan, especially as the organization considers potential acquisitions and collaborations with external business.
* Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with Appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, regulatory and audit requirements.
* Long term planning, introduction of new programs/strategies with analysis and business modeling.
* Regulatory changes analysis and modeling.
* Prepare the annual financial statements and ensure they are in accordance with U.
S.
GAAP and federal, state and other required supplementary schedules and information.
* Maintain effective internal controls and safeguards for financial and tax reporting and coordinate all audit activities.
* Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved.
* Partner with information technology (IT) to procure specialized finance IT systems that meet the needs of the organization.
* Manage cash flow and financial forecasting/budgeting and ensure adequate cash flow to meet organizational needs.
* Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
* Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally.
* Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization’s mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
* Assist in the development and negotiations of contracts.
* Participate in developing new business, specifically assist in identifying new funding opportunities, the drafting of prospective programmatic budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.
* Provide the COO with an operating budget.
* Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational grants/budgets * Investigate cost-effective benefit plans and other fringe benefits which the organization may offer employees and potential employees with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified individuals.
* Oversee the production of monthly reports including financial statements and cash flow projections for use by the management team; ensure data integrity.
*What you’ll bring to the Vice President of Finance role:* * Bachelor's degree from an accredited university program; MBA or equivalent preferred.

* Minimum of five (5) years experience in a finance leadership role within the rehab therapy setting to include direct day-to-day oversight and management fiscal platform, model development, proforma development and external vendor contract services.
* Minimum of five (5) years rehab therapy experience with an expert understanding of reimbursement including all considerations and revenue streams relevant to the post-acute contract therapy setting preferred.
