You will provide legal advice, represent clients in court, and conduct legal research.
I’m looking for someone like me when I left law school: eager to go out on your own but wanting a bit of a safety net in terms of consistent work.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Provide legal advice to clients on various matters
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
- Attend meetings with clients to discuss case progress and updates
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.
D.
) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Virginia State Bar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
The plan is that you keep what you earn.
There are specific costs (rent, internet, etc.
) but they aren’t high and there are two other attorneys here to help when you need it.

Pay: From $70.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
