*Job Description*
We are seeking a Senior U.
S.
Immigration Attorney with a valid license from any U.
S.
state, and a strong background/skill set in conducting high-volume consultations for a variety of U.
S.
immigration matters.
This Attorney will have oversight of our U.
S.
visa department, will review and approve retainers from exploratory meetings and report to our Company's Chief Operating Officer with dotted lines to other senior executives.
Specifically, you will be responsible for the following:
-Conducting initial and follow-up consultations with potential and existing clients, and promoting our U.
S.
immigration services after determining the most suitable pathway for our clients;
-Managing all aspects of the client retention process, including:
-Preparing engagement letters for client signature;
-Keeping detailed notes of consultation findings and recommended pathways;
-Reviewing and assessing documentation to determine applicants’ eligibility and identify deficiencies;
-Interacting directly with clients as needed;
-Proactively keeping up to date with U.
S.
immigration laws and changes in application processes and processing times; and
-Conferring with other legal counsel and cross-functional teams, providing them with any additional case-specific details and recommendations when warranted.
-Managing the firm's U.
S.
files, ensuring that they are handled diligently and timely by internal team members and outside partners.
*Qualifications*
As our ideal candidate, you will possess the following:
* Active license to practice law in the US
* Minimum three (3) years of experience in managing a high volume of immigration cases
* Be both empathetic and compassionate to our clients backed by the knowledge and skills to show value to our clients to retain our services and remain with the firm through the filing of an application.
* Experience in overseeing and providing guidance to a legal team on a daily basis
* Ability to listen, empathize, build rapport and connect with prospective clients
* Performance driven with the ability to lead team members to deliver key performance indicators
* History of success in the selling process and ability to close leads
* Ability to think constructively and outside the box to provide prospective clients with all possible options for their specific situation and pathway
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
* Ability to set and manage client expectations through effective and timely communications, ensuring the highest quality of customer and professional services
